Foundation 101. The key to finding your perfect foundation.

Which foundation is best for me?

Foundation creates an illusion of a flawless skin. The first thing to ask yourself is whether your skin is oily or not, your shade and whether you want full coverage. We have poreless, matte and natural looks foundation that will leave you looking flawless and natural at the same time.

Why doesn’t my makeup last?

This has a lot to do with your skin’s moisture levels. If your skin is dry, for example, it’s going to attempt to draw moisture from anything it can, this includes makeup. If your skin is well hydrated, it will not seek out moisture elsewhere.

If you fall on the other end of the spectrum and you have combination/oilyskin, you have another issue. Oil breaks down makeup, hence why many eye makeup removers contain oil and the whole oil cleansing movement was born. When the oils of your skin interact with your makeup, they begin breaking them down. That doesn’t mean to skip moisturizer though! Your skin can produce more oil when it's not properly hydrated so try using a lightweight moisturizer for a non-sticky feel. Also, mattifying primers can help to create a barrier between your skin’s oils and the makeup.

Here are some of the Foundations we recommend.

Fit me maybelline: This foundation is matte and poreless. It can be used by people with normal to oily skin. It mattifies and refines pores which leaves you with a natural, seamless finish.
